Many other believers were not being strong. It was not to be based on his own efforts, but he was to rely on God’s grace. Paul wanted Timothy to be strong in his faith. Be strong – This could be the summary for the first two chapters. Mark 1:17 – “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”ġ. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Luke 10:1-3 – After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Romans 10:14-15 – How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” What about us?
